I just bought a RX350 with the Generation 5 Navi and it has DVD version 6.1. So my question is, will it work in the Prius. I'm just afraid that if I put the 6.1 DVD into the Prius that it will update the firmware or something and I can't go back to the old version, that was the impression I got from reading some past posts that I've been searching through. Thanks Alex

It shouldn't permanently affect it though. Have fun, and let us know what happens or what changes you experience (and I hope nothing bad happens, I didn't tell you to do it, so please do it at your own risk!)

The Prius must be a Generation 4 Navi then. I made a copy of the Lexus DVD and verified it works in the Lexus and then transferred it to the Prius. Something loads up, you see a bar moving and then it says it can't access the maps. I put the old DVD back in and it works fine. |
