Anyone accidently hit the power button while driving?

There has been much discussion re: the park button not engaging the pawl if over 3mph, but how about the power switch?

A regular ignition key switch won't allow it, or if it does it locks the steering "BIG PROBLEM"!!

Just wonderin!

When did you experience the steering wheel locking in a Prius?

There's another thread that talked about this as a tangent - IIRC, it puts the car in Neutral, as would shifting it into reverse while driving at a decent speed.

I believe the thread also mentioned that it logs when things like that happen into the computer, which cracks me up for some reason.

IIRC it goes to Neutral then Off. And it has to be pressed for a little bit; otherwise it just beeps.

I read somewhere the "power" button acts as the control switch for the ejector seat in models with the standard factory sun roof if you press it while driving.

There is no factory sun roof... though with the ejector seat you can quickly make one.
