Has anyone had a problem with the mp3 "folder list" button in the upper right hand corner of the MFD? It always works after immediately inserting the disk, but most of the time it is grayed out so you can't do a search of what's on the disk. Instead, you have to change to the next folder.

Thanks.

Ken

It's grayed out while the car is moving. Apparently, it's too dangerous to look at a list of folders while you're driving.

give me a flippin' break! R U kidding? That has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I love the way the Prius drives, but I hate all the hyper-safety (so-called) features in this car.

Toyota, if you're listening, stop treating us like a bunch of juvenile teenagers.

Ken

P.S. Toyota might as well get rid of the energy and consumption screen as well. In fact, why not just get rid of the MFD all together. In fact, get rid of the digital speedometer. We certainly don't want to get in an accident while looking at how fast we're going.

I find this highly irritating as well. Ever think that maybe a passenger might want to browse the folders while the car is in motion? Is there any way to disable this "feature"?

I agree. If they are so worried about a lawsuit, why not give us an overall waiver screen where the user can acknowledge the risks of playing while driving, and then dispense with all the grayed-out nonsense.

Has anyone found a hack for this "feature"?

Also interested in seeing an FM radio "MSG" while driving...Seems idiotic that a scrolling message is seen as less distracting than seeing it on a stationary screen all at once?

I think that the ability to use that button is tied to the speed sensor; so if you're going over 5mph, it gets
grayed out & becomes inaccessible until you get back below 5mph.

Pardon the oudated reply....for some reason I was only seeing the first post.
Cheers
