Friends: 0 | I have Prius 2005 with about 46K miles. I started getting the warning light come on, and on the screen I get :Problem" and the symbol meaning -- according to the manual -- head light leveling system warning. It usually goes away after a while, but lately it often stays on longer and comes on more often than in the past. The manual says, take it to the dealer. I actually did not look at the manual before taking the car to the dealer, so I only told them I had had the red triangle with the "Problem" message on the screen. At the time I took the car to the dealer the message was not there. They did not find anything. Can anyone suggest anything? |

You just have to bring it to the dealer when the warning shows up. Or simply tell them to check specifically the levelling sensors.

Keith, I think a simple OFF TOPIC would have sufficed. Yeah I noticed the moderators are a little slow in here at catching OT/wrong category threads.

Friends: 0 | I have been experiencing this same thing with my Prius. The headlights seem to be working fine, and I just want to know how to reset the warning light. We don't want to take it to the dealer if it is working fine! Another odd thing is that the tank will not fill up. Although the gastank is 11.9 gallons, I can only fill it with around 8 with the low fuel light lit. During the first year we owned the car I could fill it up but something happened and I cannot put in more than 8.5 gallons now. Anyone else experienced this? |

Friends: 23 | Well if the light is on, then your headlights are not adjusting according to load level and you should have it checked. It has nothing to do with whether your headlights work or not. Your 2005 Prius has a flexible rubber bladder inside the standard metal fuel tank. As such, you'll find it hard pressed to fill a full 11.9 gallon tank. (The most I've pumped is 40 litres so just about 10 gal and that's only in the summer. In the winter, it'll be down to 8-9 gal max). P.S. I think your 2005 has a different package (not a navigation package as listed in your profile). 2005 packages were labelled with numbers. If yours was the top of the line, then it's most likely a #6 IIRC. Check here to see what package you have 2GPrius (2004-2009) Standard and Optional Equipment (Some Countries)

I would print out this document http://priuschat.com/forums/attachme...sor_repair.pdf and take it to your dealer. After reading the document they should replace it. Thats How I how mine fixed. The gas take is a bladder and will shrink in the winter so thats normal.
