Friends: 0 | Yes, I'm one of those tall drivers who has desired a lower driver's seat so you can see better (there has been many topics discussing this subject). Also, in the past, I posted the instructions "Move up the Rear-View Mirror for better forward vision" ( http://priuschat.com/index.php?showt...0285&hl=mirror ) so you can see the "tall driver's syndome" runs strong in me! Finally, after a lot of research, thought, planning, a trip to Japan, and bit of sweat; you'll find the results of my quest as the attached .PDF. I hope this will be useful to others on PriusChat! 12/16/2009: Yahoo is discontinuing its "briefcase" service, which is where I've kept my published Prius files, thus the files have been moved to: http://www.box.net/shared/9dc62z6acc Last edited by Solar_Powered; 02-16-2009 at 05:44 PM. |

Friends: 0 | Great job. What a crying shame you had to do that at all, though, really. I've got my Prius on order, and at 6'1", I'm a bit concerned about this... |

I can tell you already that they fit. I came REALLY close to putting them in... but decided on just adding lumbar and heat to the factory seats. Now... about lowering the things... WOW! You're my new hero. Man, there has just GOT to be an easier way though. Without knowing a thing about which I speak... it would seem that modifying the Japan factory seat left-to-right would be an easier task??? Who knows. I just know that I want mine lower! Thanks tons for sharing. | |

Friends: 0 | Is Japan the only country with this kind of seat? What about Europe.. You would figure if this seat was there, just grab the German one stock, for instance... |

Friends: 0 | These seats are standard in all of Europe, so it would have been a lot easier just to ship a replacement from a German dealer. Possibly more expensive though. |
