I've been learning that there are some amazing clearings in those wheel wells. My tires are pretty wide. I can go wider but i won't. I want to go smaller.. 205

I love the pictures. Why is it too low? are you scraping plastic? exhaust? everything? hehe...

there is a lot of clearance inside the wheel wells up front. . .

the problem is clockwise u-turns. . .the drivers side wheel rubs up against the upper inner fender well ever soo slightly. . .i don't like that!

counterclockwise u-turns are ok for some reason?

the drivers side always comes out lower than the right/passenger side. i think the car is heavier and lower on this side even without a person inside the car. . .can anyone confirm this on their stock prius for me?

i put the stock front springs back in and am roughly an inch higher now in front and just got back from 200 mile round trip to san diego.

car drives nice. . .stock and soft. with the new corolla struts, i can actually push the front of the car up and down a few inches with minimal effort which i don't remember being able to do when the car was stock. . .felt like a stiff board i recall.

don't ever buy those grey KYB GR2 struts as they are stiff as jeep/truck shocks!!. . .unless that's what you're looking for.

i'm working on getting another 1/2 inch down in front and making that clockwise u-turn with NO RUBBING!!

Heh, looks awesome. I am amazed that you've gotten it that low and the ride is acceptable.

As far as the rubbing - it's likely be because your car is lower on the driver's side than the passenger side. Would be interesting to get the car weighed at each corner to verify.

I don't recall noticing any substantial ride height differences when looking at my car, but I haven't measured.

So with the lowered ride height, did you notice better fuel economy on the freeway?

BTW, biggus - did you really work on the LandSpeed Prius? Please share what you did to set it up for the run if you can.
