Friends: 52 | That's right, they're finally in-stock! 2010 Toyota Prius Fog Light Kit - OEM Quality ![]() Product Description: Did you want the fog lights from the 2010 Prius model V, but didn't want to pay the hefty premium or lose out on other features? So did PriusChat, and that's why we are proud to bring you a factory-quality fog light kit that is easy to install and comes with everything you need to have that factory fresh look. The kit includes:
I've included both color and black and white versions of the installation documentation. I think the B/W version will print out better for installation, but the color ones are good if you are going to have your laptop nearby during the install.

Friends: 0 | Can these be left on permanently and thus function as daytime running lights? In other words, will they turn off automatically when the car is turned off? |

Friends: 52 | From what I can gather from the installation documentation, the answer to your question is: Yes, they will operate independently from the headlights and will turn off automatically when you power down the Prius. I haven't had a chance to install mine yet, but I will double check with the manufacturer to be sure.

Friends: 24 | If you hook it up per that instructions (brown wire @ the ECU) the answer is yes. |

Friends: 20 | Question on that "method" - legally, these must shut off when high-beams are activated to keep the "4 simultaneous headlights on max" rule in check (note OE installs where fogs turn off with high-beams). Will they do that if wired as suggested? If not, we'd be looking at 6 lights on w/ high beams, and I wouldn't be interested in a ticket, despite the allure of this being a DRL solution. |

Friends: 0 | Since I live in the Seattle, WA area, and I live in "rural suburbia," the fog lights are important to me. While DRL would be great (and I wonder why those aren't standard as well, at least give me the option to turn those on), I would much rather have the fog lights in our climate and dark winters. I am looking forward to seeing a post from someone who installs these! |

Friends: 2 | I wonder if I got these, if I could just install them in the place where the bling lights currently are....I'd imagine the wiring would be essentially identical, with the only change being a real button as opposed to the radio-shackesque on/off switch I have now. |
