Default Map Data DVD

I just purchased a 2010 Prius and my wife got a 2010 Camry Hybrid. On the Prius the Nav DVD is version 8.1 and on the Camry it is 9.1. The DVD's look the same except for the version number. The Nav system also looks the same. Are the DVD's interchangeable?

I think they should be, just try the Ver9 from the Camry in the Prius...

It should work and that'll be an easy test to ensure they are.

I was going to try that but the service tech at the dealership said that the dvd could jam up the system. ( that didn't make sense to me but I am afraid to try it

That just doesn't sound right...

A friend at work has a MazdaSpeed and insisted I try my nav dvd in his to see if it worked. Loaded it in, didn't work like I told him it probably wouldn't and then I ejected it.

Personally, I would try it.
