When I placed the order, I was told I was number 18 on the waitlist. He told me the dealership was going to get 10 this week (week of May 19) and they would just go down the list.

I hate not being in control. I want to call and find out if this shipment actually came in. I'm exercising restraint in not calling. Did anyone else have this problem and call the dealer every so often to check their status??? I don't want to be "that girl" and make them angry!!!

Kpod, I am totally feeling the same way. I wish Toyota had a website that you could check on the status of your car. I actually got a call for an allocution model last week but it was a package 1 and I really wanted the package 2, so I said no thanks. After reading some of these posts, I wish I would have taken it!

Hi! On April 26th, I paid my deposit, received my sales agreement from the Internet Manager and was placed on the waiting list -- I was number 6. I was told 2 to 4 weeks, but knew that it would take longer since I live in the south and only wanted pkg. 2 with NO Toyoguard. Besides that, I was asking for a choice between two colors -- Siliver Pine Mica and White. KNEW I'D BE WAITING! Three days ago, I received a call -- a pkg. 2, no Toyoguard, in Seaside Pearl is arriving on June 10th. Would I consider this? Yesterday I was lucky enough to be at a shopping center with a Seaside Pearl parked in the parking lot (I had never seen the color in person before as there are no Prius's on any lots). Liked it and will definitely accept it. Waiting time -- about 6 weeks.

I got mine from Page Toyota also, in 2006. They called me regularly, about twice a week to tell me the details (it's being assembled, it will take 6 more weeks, there is a silver one coming, do you want that? (no), there are no grey ones but there is a black one in the lot and it's package 4 instead of 3, the owner's finances didn't work out, do you want that? (yes!)).
