Toyota's Prius Team has posted the 3rd teaser image of the 2010 Prius over on CleanMPG today. Here is the image and their message:

Ok, ok, we get it. You want more pics, but you're looking for something a little more.... intriguing. So we'll serve this one up and see what you think.

Just one hint: You won't find one of these on the current Prius.

I was first thinking it looked like a backup camera, but the "you won't find one of these on the current Prius" has thrown me off.

Ideas? Discuss.

obviously a camera/sensor of some sort and if it's not on the current gen it's not a back-up cam.

I wonder about a front camera for one of those fancy cruise controls that adjusts to forward traffic.

if you look at the new dashboard picture's it's all black but when i look at these i see beige/white....
just like that roof open/close button ( maybe sunroof )

maybe the usa prius will get a lighter colored inside?

Check out the New Lexus driver attentive thingie (commercial) that alerts you / puts you back on course if your nodding off (i think) ... maybe IT looks like this pic.

It does look like its something from the inside of the vehicle. I think it might be a heads up display.

It could be the sensor for the daytime running lamp.

Looks like a fancy cup holder to me. Heated & cooled maybe.
