100,000 Mile Club

Let's not clog this thread with too many "congratulations", but rather allow those folks who've hit 100k miles to post their stories.
Please include purchase date, Model year, mileage of course, any problems you've had (I'm sure most of you've had to replace your traction battery ), and just your general impressions, satisfaction level, etc. A link to a mileage record or your estimated lifetime MPG would be great too.

Why would we congratulate people who reach 100,000 miles? Shouldn't the congratulations go to those that drive the fewest miles? I guess I just don't see driving lots of miles to be a goal.

The point isn't to reward or congratulate for driving that many miles, but to have a log of those who've gone 100k miles in their prius more or less as a 'told you so' for those who are nay sayers about the reliability and durability of the Prius.
Also, some people have to drive a lot due to their work, lifestyles, or whatever. Those people should be thanked and congratulated for choosing to drive those miles in a low emission, high fuel economy vehicle like the Prius rather than a GMC Yukon or something like that.

Collectively (started with a Classic, then upgraded to a HSD) my total is now at 131,000 miles... and all of them were done using low-sulfur E10. I definitely fall into the "satisfied customer" category, especially since my particular expectations were very high. But many of you already know that story.

Jesse gets the ultimate acknowledgement for clean & efficient travel. His Classic Prius has already passed the 280,000 mile mark!

I suppose with John's logic, combining my '02 classic and my '04, I've got approx. 125,000 or so miles between the two. I'll post again next year when I break 100k miles in my '04.

As you're alluding to, my intent was not to so much applaud the driver for driving 100k miles but rather to highlight the individual vehicles that've gone over 100k. In a year or two I'll probably add a 150k and maybe a 200k and eventually a 250k sticky, but there really aren't enough 2Gs in that range to justify it and we don't have very many 1G drivers that frequent PC. If anyone feels I should start a thread for the higher mileage cars please let me know. But since there isn't even one 100k mile Prius listed in the thread yet I think I'm ok to wait a bit.

BTW, those of us in/soon to be in this group drive the 100,000 miles in some type of vehicle and I applaud your recognition of our doing this in the most fuel efficient/environmentally friendly manner that is realistically possible right now. Oh yea, I also like the potential to say, "so there" to those who doubted the versatility and longevity of the Prius. Annually, my Prius saves me about $1,800.00 in gas expense.

100000 miles. 12 volt battery is dead cause i left the interior light on in it about 4 times and drained the bettery 260.00 bucks. Needs new front wippers. hatch back shocks are going i use the hatch door about 6 times a day they cost 170.00 EACH The car has never been back to the dealer. I want to put 300000 miles on it i use mobil 1 syn oil hopefully that will help the only thing i ever did to it was changed the tires and oil its a 2005and its loaded with bluetooth nav homelink smart key and more so alot of things can break but so far so good

Prius Classic 2001

117564 miles mostly commuting between work and home.

My only complaint are the weak tires, which I had to replace at around 40k, a set of two around 85k and just recently another set of 2 around 117500.

I want to make it to the 3rd generation Prius release in 2008/9

Another 2001 Prius. Didn't want to be the first to reply, with only 104 k miles. One rear wheel bearing assembly, an engine control module, and a steering rack, all under warranty. HV battery resealing and crankshaft position sensor, both under SSC. Otherwise, only lightweight maintenance. Prius' total ownership costs, cents per mile, is unusually low. Kinda fun to drive also.
