Default Is There A Quick, Single-Push-of-a-Button Method to Turn Off the MFD?

Sometimes while I'm driving I'll decide to turn off the MFD. I know that it can be turned off by pressing the Display button, then selecting "Screen Off".

Just curious though...is there a faster way, requiring only the push of a button, where I don't have to divert my attention from the road for quite so long? For example, holding down the Display button for three seconds? Something like that? Anyone know of a documented (or undocumented) way of turning off the screen with a single button push, regardless of which screen is presently showing on the MFD?

Push the voice button. After the beep say "Screen Off"

That's one button right

Good suggestion. That would work, if only my Package 2 had the voice option.

Personally, I use the [Display] => [OFF] method you described.

Since the two buttons are very near each other, it's relatively simple.

Press the big button right in the middle of the screen as hard as you can with your fist.
It'll defiantly turn off, but no guarantee on how to get it to turn back on.

Tony - Here's a question. It should be obvious but I never thought about it before seeing this thread. I'm almost afraid to ask , but here goes:

How do you put the display back on once you shut it off?

Thanks, Marvin

The display is turned back on by pressing any button on the bezel or the steering wheel that normally causes the display to change screens with the exception of the display button.

Or if you have voice control 'display on' will work.
