I really have learned alot! I just picked up my 2008 Touring on Friday (Magnetic Gray with aftermarket by dealer leather seats and "bun warmers") and chose not to pay the premium for the factory nav system since I already had a Garmin 330. I'm curious as to where those of you that have a similar type of GPS device mount them. I find that my Garmin mount tends to lose suction and fall off the windshield when mounted there. So, those of you that have a similar set up, please let me know how and where you put yours! Thanks, ChaPrius |

In my new Prius that puts it too far away for easy manipulation, and for my aging eyes to read some of the street names. With some skepticism I ordered the Garmin beanbag mount, but I have to say I'm very happy with it - doesn't slide around at all and never falls off the window |

Someone was smashing car windows and stealing valuables that were visible, mostly GPS units. The police advise always removing the GPS from the car when you park it. Also take out any mounting devices because if a thief sees it he will break into the car and look for the GPS in the glovebox, etc. Same goes for ipods and other valuables - never leave them in the car. Even in a generally low-crime area, you can't be too careful.

Good for mounting all sorts of equipment. |
