I have spent a fair amount of time searching this very helpful forum and still have a few questions: 1. I was thinking about adding the Sportivo TRD shocks and coil springs but their website isn't clear as to whether they are applicable. They have the statement "Must use in set for all vehicle except Touring Selection model." which I wonder if translation means can't use in Touring model? Also plan on adding the various braces (upper stabilizer, front suspension, lower body and floor strengthening brace) 2. Would like to add Bluetooth (eg: package 3) - is there a way to do this after-market with parts from Toyota? 3. Thinking about a Mac Mini installation (not planning on Nav option). Here are the links I have found; would love to hear comments and suggestions! http://trdparts.jp/english/list_prius.html http://sigmaautomotive.com/jdm/prius/prius0405.php http://mysite.verizon.net/ressmxii/index.html http://www.tomsracing.co.jp/e/arcive/2005_11_17_3.html http://priuschat.com/shop/product_info.php.../products_id/21 http://www.kusnetz.net/prius/

My Car: 2005 Prius Package: #6 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Just a thought- I can't count the number of posts I have read here with owners saying "I want to add Nav to my car, HID lights, bluetooth, auto-dim rear view mirror", etc. All of these things are items that come stock on the fully loaded model. For my money, buying the fully loaded model ends up being cheaper in the long run and easier to sell when the time comes. Just my 2 cents. Good luck. |

Also, look into the BT Stiffening plate instead of the rear brace since that is a good, less-expensive alternative. |

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Thanks for the constructive comments. I drive a lot of back country roads and want my Prius to handle as good as it can. So, I plan to add the BT Stiffening plate and a tower stabilizer minimally. My primary question revolved around the issue of whether the TRD parts would fit a 1226 Touring edition Prius (the web page was unclear to me). In regards to the Bluetooth question - that is really all I wanted from Toyota. I hate the self dimming mirrors, don't need a garage door opener and would rather use my iPod instead of a 6 CD Radio. |

Btw, that same Toyota brace exists on the Lexus IS250 and the Lexus 460h. Maybe BT could garner more business selling to those owners of these vehicles too. :P | |

My Car: 2007 Prius Package: #5 Touring Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Bluetooth on my 07 #3 is a teadious, sometimes working adventure in frustration. Push the talk switch and sometimes it says "Say a command", mostly though it says, "Say the Number" (like I memorize numbers on my cell phone!) After a phone tree of innumeral branches, I say the name Bill Jones, and the darn voice says, "dialing Fred Flintstone" or some other goofy name that doesn't sound at all like Bill Jones. You are better off just dialing using your cell phone and talking via the bluetooth system than using the voice command system. |
