my black rear bumper protector has arrived!
( thanks to someone helping me here )

Ok it will do but

it's not very wide left to right? ( it could be another 1-2" either side)
and not very deep front to back - it doesnt make it under the hatch door

Although it's a Prius part it has Corolla stamped on the underside
attaches with two lines of sticky tape

PS Ive now stuck it on and it's great! Can't find these in UK

That's pretty much how the one I have fits though I have a Matrix bumper guard instead of the Corolla one. It could be bigger but it isn't really necessary as it's just a guard when you set stuff on the edge or are dragging it out of the hatch.

Wow! Whomever helped you must be a great guy, an outstanding citizen of the community, probably tall dark and handsome as well...and popular with the ladies......!

Mine says "Corrola" on the under-side as well. But it fits, so I don't care.

It really is all about protecting just the corner. The lip of the hatch takes a beating, and the leading corner of the bumper does too, but everything in between is relatively safe. I also like still being able to clean between the bumper protector and the hatch

I think if it were any wider it would hit and have to account for the upward curve in the bumper.

If I could have a do-over, I would have put additional tape or adhesive along the short edges/ends of the protector because a week after I installed mine, the short edges/ends popped up a little, leaving a slight, but visible gap between the protector and the bumper.

Corolla/Matrix... almost identical (if not identical) bumper protectors. Most of the cabbies here have them on the Prius.
