My Car: Package: |  Nice article on ultracapacitors Hadn't realised the ultracapacitors in the Prius were also from Panasonic. Looks like they're closing in on having every hybrid/EV option covered! http://www.spectrum.ieee.org/WEBONLY/publi...5/0105wcap.html Pick of the article though is the research at MIT looking at using carbon nanotubes as the electrodes in the next generation of ultracaps. The project leader there reckons it could improve energy storage in ultracaps by a factor of 100! Imagine that, a 300-400Wh/kg capacitor! 8) |
