Push the info button on the MFD, select screen setting, then make your choice.

There is a setting to turn on or off the automatic switching to the map screen.

2004 Owner's Manual, Section 2-7 Operation of Instruments and Controls - Multi-Information Display - page 152 "Automatic Transition" (Not sure of the Page number on '05 and '06 Manuals.)

Lot of information in the Owner's Manual.

P.S. It works - mine auto transfer is disabled but I generally keep it on audio - either works though.
