My Car: 2008 Prius Package: #5 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 2 | Questions: 1. Is the MFD affected in any way? 2. When does the door lock kick in? ex. 15 mph, when the ignition goes on, etc. 3. If someone gets in/out, do the doors lock again, or does the car have to be stopped and then restarted for the locks to re-lock? 4. Is the doorlock function changed in any way? For instance, can the user options to unlock both doors/drivers only door etc. still be manually changed. Thanks. This looks like a product I would want. |

My Car: 2004 Prius Package: #5 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Hi, on the Prius, the front doors will unlock when you pull on the lever to open the door from the inside so I felt that there wasn't a need to have it unlock automatically upon powering the car down. My main concern was for initial safety when entering the car by having the doors lock when it is powered up. |

My Car: 2007 Prius Package: #6 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 2 | For most people, the auto-lock feature will be useful. It will not fit my need. Let me explained why. For some situation, I need to power up my car to listen to music while waiting in the parking lot. I do not see the need to auto-lock the car when I powered up. In additional, I see some hazard for kids when they mistakenly powered up the car and lock themself in the car. I do see the need to auto-lock the car when I shift to D or R. Preferable D. |
