Noise from Aux Port (06-08)

Here's the TSB for the AUX noise isolator issue in case anyone needs it.
If you own an 06-07 (and possibly 08) model, and uses your Aux port a lot, this is a good fix to get while your car is still under warranty.

I just got my 2008, and yes, I hear the noise very clearly. I have
an appointment scheduled for Tuesday to get it taken care of with the
dealer. I mentioned to my sales guy it might be wise to go ahead and fix

Update for everyone, I just had the AUX port fixed today. Took about
2 hours at the dealer. There is a new TSB coming out for 2008's but
the dealer can use the 06-07 TSB to get the parts. Works like a charm!

I notice a soft high pitched pulsing noise when I use my iPod with the aux input AND the power jack. If I don't use the power jack it goes away. Is this the sort of noise you guys are speaking about? If so, I'll bring it in. What a great forum. I would have assumed it was the power supply plug I bought if I hadn't checked here. Seems like this is something Toyota should just fix on these cars from the get go. They have known about it for years!

I'm having the same problem. Please post if you get it fixed. My serice manager insists my samsung helix is the cause. I even gave him the TSB but of course my 08 built 09/07 is not covered.

I had a hissing noise when using my ipod through the AUX port. My son looked at the settings on the ipod. He noticed I had a limit placed on the volume level and I had the bass turn up high. After resetting these levels the hissing noise has disappeared.
