Nice! Looks to run pretty flat without the factory body roll.

I miss autox. So much more fun than drag racing.

OEM body roll is mostly gone. Autocross is much more rewarding. Much more driver involvement than drag racing.

What year Corolla did you source the sway bars from? That was my next mod but I couldn't get a clear idea of the year to choose. Thanks!

Agreed although my cars were always modded for drag.

I'm impresed with your use of 15s. I would have thought they would rolls over too much. What pressure do you run and do you put dial-in/shoe polish to check for side wall roll over?

03-08 Corolla bars, TRD in rear. Been researching dampers, Tokico HP's fit on the rear no prob, just can't use Eibach Pro-Kit with them (won't fit around spring seat). The fronts however are a different story. Steering knuckle is thicker on a Prius so still debating on my approach to installing the Tokicos on the front. Tire pressures today were 36 fr and 41 rear to help the rear come around. Still getting the alignment just right but she gets better every event. I normally do chalk the tires but lately just been going by feel as to what I want the car to do and adjust PSI from there.

Right on. :) Please keep us updated. I've entertained the idea of autocrossing the Prius since my old car club buddies still do it.

So does the front sway bar bolt up directly? I just installed the rear TRD but didn't know what to do with the front, so happy to see I have an option

Can't believe ur running 225's that is awesome:eek:

Also do you have the part# for the front sway bar?

Front sway bar is a direct bolt on just make sure you get bushings for that bar. Energy Suspension has bushings for Corolla FSB for around $25. I found my bar at a salvage yard for $35. Search on Car-parts.com, no need to spend ~$100 on a new one. I'll get you the oem p/n though.

I'm very interested in the suspension modifications. I'm looking to reduce to body roll on my Touring.

Coincidentally, there's a guy who does autocross here in Chicagoland in an Gen1 Insight and he puts in amazing times (this guy can really drive).

I honestly don't know. I went to have one installed on my '05 today and they guy said it would be 2.5hrs worth of work and the ends were angled more than my factory sway bar. I was worried that this angle difference might throw off my alringment or cause stress to the end links so I just threw the bar back in the car and drove off. :( I really didn't want to spend $200+ just to install this bar. The car handles great as it is and I doubt the bar is worth $250+ (bar+install).

I did a little PN research for front sway bars: (source)
The 04-09 Prius uses Front Sway bar PN: 48811-47040
The 02-03 Corolla uses 48811-AB011 (current), 48811-AB010 (obsolete)
The 04-08 Corolla uses 48811-12A70 (current), 48811-12A00 (obsolete)
    The 09 Corolla uses 48811-12A70
The 04-08 Matrix uses 48811-AB011 (current), 48811-AB010 (obsolete)

In this posting and this posting, cairo94507 confirms that he installed Part number 48811-AB011 in a 2005 Prius (assumed since cairo's prius is a 2005).

In your posting F8L, you indicated you had a front bar from an 06 Corolla. For both the current and obsolete 06 Corolla front bars, it would not be a direct cross for the 48811-AB011.

So probably you want a sway bar from a more recent Matrix. I just ordered one (used) from an 05-06 Matrix. Sure hope it's the current PN and not the obsolete one (but maybe they fit the same). Maybe would be better to just buy the exact PN from the dealer.

this car looks quite low, and I see you have Ground-Control Coilovers for a Toyota Matrix (as GC dont offer equipment for Prius).

How easy was that? are they a straight swap?

And these rims are 15" ?

Alright! On an 03 Corolla you probably got the 48811-AB010 version, which means the one I ordered should work also. I'm saving that for over the week between xmas & new years.

Can't wait to hear what you think of it!

The car is a lot more stable on the road. made a 180 degree turn on flat surface
at 29 mph and could have gone a little faster. It took at least 4 hrs. maybe a little more, I used a 12,14,17 and 19 mm sockets. It would have been a lot faster with
a lift. I do have a hydraulic jack and jack stands. My wife is happy on how the car
handles now, It's her car. The old one was 21 mm.
