I'm a technician in the city of Philadelphia. I drive around 80 miles a day. all city miles. I was spending $360 a month on average, driving my Honda CRV. Some of the guys I work with drive Civics, Corollas etc. But they have no use of their back seat with all the tools and parts we carry. After spending the last year busting a guy who bought a Prius, he told me to laugh all I want, but he spends $140 /month on gas. When I saw that most of my equipment can fit behind the rear seat, I finally broke down and bought one myself. Unbelievable! I'm averaging over 50 miles/ gal. The $220/month I'm saving on gas is enough to pay the loan I got on my 2008. Plus it only had 29,232 miles on it. I haven't loved a car this much in a long time. Hopefully it'll be as reliable as advertised. Now all I have to do is figure out how to save face when the other Prius owner finds out I bought one.....lol
