I purchased a prius about a month ago and I've notice the nav is very difficult to see, solutions? I was thinking tint would help but it hasn't really.

If your problem is the sun, try this thread. My DIY piece of cardboard has worked great for almost a year now. It does pop out on rough roads, but simple enough to put back in.

Try turning the contrast way down and the brightness up. Counterintuitive, but I found that it helps.

Ftl your advise worked perfect for me. Thabk you. Brightness didn't really do much but turning contrast down is big improvement. My gf looked through setting saying there wasn't a setting adjust brightness but I was driving so it wasnt showing. So nice be able to screen now. Even with the sun on it, it's very visible.

As DoubleDaz say's, I use a piece of cardboard. I have a Dashmat so that holds the cardboard in place no matter how rough the road.:)

You have problems after you turn contrast down?

I have settings all the way up and with the cardboard shader, I can see it fine.
Sorry, after checking my settings, I find that my contrast is all the way down.

I glued a couple of pieces of cardboard together so they'd fit in the CD slot. Then I attached my current piece of cardboard to it so it still covers the screen the way if did before, but now won't fall out on bumpy roads. I also thought I had my contrast set, but found I didn't, so I boosted that and am now running without the shade. I'll find out next week if I still need the shade when we head out on another trip, our 3rd in the Prius, this one 6.000-7,000 miles or so.
