Just a little info to add to all of the above posts.

I surveyed all of the 2007 topics and purchased Toyota Vol #1. I thought it would be the best bang for the buck (info) so to speak. I was disappointed with the manual.

There is allot of dealer checks and routines and gobs of info but not for the average guy just wanting, do it your self info. Hard to find stuff. Difficult to read and understand.

2007 Vol 1 contains the following subjects. Service Specs, Maintenance, Engine Control Sys, Engine Mechanical, Fuel, Emission Control, Exhaust, Cooling, Lubrication, Ignition, Starting, Hybrid Vehicle Control.

I'll probably purchase the remaining ones later.

But there still needs to be Basic Do it Yourself CD or Manual for these cars.

Nope, two separate machines. [You think I was about to let any
windoze box directly touch the intertubes? Heh..] If you poke
around my web stuff carefully you'll find where I put my generated
index for the '04 manual, and several rants about it that landed
there and on PC in the april/may '05 timeframe. It *was* a nightmare
but in retrospect well worth the time, because it's all good learning
material and I could then look up just about anything for other
people on the forums as well as for my own purposes.
    .
There are some third-party service information companies out there
geared for auto-tech subscriptions, like Mitchell and Alldata, that
try to cover *all* makes/models under one roof so show owners don't
have to subscribe to all the OEM sites themselves. Except that they
often make a few compromises on completeness. Getting all that stuff
100% right is hard work, which is why many manufacturers contract
out a lot of the manual-writing and distribution work.

The way your posts read I picture you standing on top of your recliner screaming at the top of your lungs. You write some intense posts.

Oh you have it so wrong.... the recliner is old and very unstable and will tip over if I stood on it. I use a wooden soap box and a megaphone (accoustically amplifies the screaming) !! :D

I think it may also have something to do with the Florida "mold"..... particles have invaded my brain !!

Yep, that's pretty much how I pictured it. Except I thought you might be slightly taller.
