2012 Prius Minor Refresh Press Materials

    From what I see, in 2012, they are taking away any higher end audio except in the premium option package with HDD naviagation, that one get the 8 JBL speakers and amplifier(s). That's a big change from several years in Prius where JBL was found in lower trims like #3.

    Prius v Five with Adv. Tech package gets the JBL. Should be the same arrangement in the 2012 Prius, only in 4 and 5 trims. Hmmmm. I could scope out the Prius v basic audio to get and idea of how it will be. It's all a tradeoff - touchscreen/backup camera/USB/ handsfree in the entry level model, less audio. oh well. Add later.

    The backup camera only comes in the model III and up package.. not model II.

    As far as the audio is concerned... I guess it would be worth taking a look at a lower end Prius V for comparison.
