2012 Prius rear spoiler adhesive tape question

Just backed into garage door with rear hatch up and ripped the devil lugs etc out of spoiler. It is still held to the car at the front and I am wondering if it is being held by the adhesive tape. Has anyone had to remove a damaged spoiler and experienced this problem?
I would like to remove it to see what the damage is to the bolt lugs so if anyone can help, it would be really appreciated.
