    B mode is automatically invoked by the cruise control.
    On long downgrades here in Colorado, the system charges the battery to maintain the speed the cruise control is set to. The battery icon proceeds to "fill up" . Once the battery icon indicates a full charge, then the system gears down the motor to control speed, rather than overcharging and damaging the battery.

    There are situations where I don't need cruise, but I know there will be lots of speeding up and slowing down. In this situation I will set the cruise for 27mph. At any speed above 27 then, I will get about three times the standard off throttle braking force. This means less brake pedal use, and more aggressive off throttle battery charging .
