I'm a newbie to Toyota and I'm looking for input on the best SF Bay Area dealerships for servicing of the Prius?

Anyone have opinion on this? I'd like to have lowering springs installed and would like it done right, preferably same day.

I'm located in Albany/El Cerrito but would be willing to travel either to go to a known good dealership, or to avoid a bad one.

Another rec for Luscious Garage. Carolyn and her team are truly ahead of the curve in hybrid repair compared to the rest of the industry. They see more hybrids than any other shop, and they are able to spot emerging issues due to the SF yellow cab fleet that they maintain.

Just an update - I ended up going to Kensington Service station and while they seemed quite friendly, I was not that impressed because they charged me more than they quoted me via email for the work. Jason said he had thought it was the rear springs and not the fronts that were being replaced so he only quoted me for the rears. Who installs lowering springs on just the rears? Didn't really make sense.

Next time, I'm going to try Luscious Garage for my 5k service.

I live in Fremont and work in Sunnyvale... I read a lot of good things about Luscious Garage, but SF is 30 miles away. Do you guys know any good hybrid mechanics in Fremont or South Bay? Thanks.

I went to Luscious Garage in San Francisco today to have them remove my reverse beeps as well as seatbelt warning, and to install a shark fin antenna. As hyped up as their reputation is, I thought they were certainly sufficient but not excellent. Their labor rate of $60 hour is certainly nice however and they seemed knowledgable. They just didn't want to entertain some of the questions I had.

Anyone have positive experience with Bay Area Toyota dealerships service departments? I'm still looking for feedback for covered warranty servicing.

I'm willing to travel pretty much anywhere around the Bay Area actually.

So far I've heard that Piercey Milpitas Toyota is pretty good. Anyone tried One Toyota in Oakland?

My friends in SF have had good experiences with Daly City Toyota and I have had good experiences with Piercey Toyota.

I've been using One Toyota in Oakland for maintenance and they have been good, with the potential to be very good. The service area is impressive with the best waiting area I've experienced. Service techs have been knowledgeable enough about the PiP to get the job done and the shop manager went out of his way to answer my questions.

However I did not like their sales department staff, mostly for indifference, which is why I bought elsewhere. This is usually a sign of how the dealership is managed in general, but I still rate the service department as good to very good.

Thanks. I think I will try One Toyota since they are fairly close to me. What is the service managers name? (just for my records in case I need to ask for him).
