Buying our Prius Persona after lease

    Hi All,
    So my wife has a 2013 Prius Persona which we started leasing. We are about 16 1/2 months into the lease and she already has racked up 23,000 miles with 20 months left to go and only an allotment of 36 k miles. I think the best decision is to buy/finance the car. She really loves it, it's great on gas, been super reliable. Any thoughts if we should wait till lease is done or should we switch now and start financing the remaining amount? It is 22,000 to buy out completely.

    I personally would continue the lease until the 3 year mark is up. These cars normally hold their value very well, you might be able to sell it 3 years down the road with 50k miles on it for the payoff amount.

    Seems to me that buying the car is a good idea, depending on the financing, it would probably help if you could add some cash to keep your interest rate lower.
