For all you frugal chaps (like me), who don't have A PARTICULAR FONDNESS FOR GETTING RIPPED OFF BY PEOPLE ON EBAY, WHO ARE CHARGING AS MUCH AS $75 DOLLARS, and who also live in the L.A./O.C. area, Carson Toyota has the wheel center caps (part# 42603-12730) for the 2012 V and you don't have to pay the ambiguous shipping & "handling" charge either. Just choose the "will call" option and pick em up at the Carson dealership, $47.25 out the door, over $27 less than what the profiteers on Ebay have to offer! That's the cheapest price yet.

OK - hoping to end the problems - I just got, from toyotapart.com, a set of four center caps. NUMBER 42603-12730. $11.77 each, plus $6.00 shipping.

Just "ripped" off the plastic covers and installed the new ones.
    THEY FIT PERFECTLY.

Now that we all know the right number - rip away, friends! One note, however. The plastic covers don't come off very easily. I sprayed a bit of liquid detergent down around the wheel edges, which helped a lot.
Then - I put some WD40 on a paper towel, and wiped carefully around the inside of the center hole before installing the caps. Set them in place, give them a tap with your hand or rubber mallet, and they look great!

Some people may not like the look of the "bare" wheels - to each his/her own, of course. For us - they look a bit more "finished"
Thanks for y'all's patience while we worked through this!

Thanks for the update Larry. I will be placing my order today.

So my wife's V is set! Now I need to find caps for my 2012 Prius II that I just took delivery on last weekend. The alloys are black, not silver, so I'm wondering if any matching caps exist? My search continues!

I believe manual instructs you to cover a flat head screw driver and pry it off via a small rectangular hole cut out of the hub cap Hole allows enough room for the screw driver insertion. Sorry bad explanation but manual has images. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. My center caps are shipping Monday so hopefully I can have the ugly plastic frisbee's removed and the alloy rims sparkling and ready for my Florida road trip!

I am so upset with that toyotaparts.com company. I ordered my center caps on July 27. I was told I would get them Aug 1st and that they had shipped. It is now Aug 6 and THEY NEVER SHIPPED THEM :0 . So they are just refunding my money. Im leaving for Florida and very upset about this. I will just try my own Toyota parts Dept to see if they have those in stock.

If you're desperate, you can always head to Home Depot and get some electrical box knock out covers.

Got some on eBay for $30 shipped. Make sure you get 63mm (2.5") size and they'll be right!
