It would be nice if I could get 1-2 more customizable pages or even an option to choose how many I wanted! Also if the adapter status automatically tried to reconnect every x amount of seconds if the app was open and no adapter was connected. It's not horribly difficult to swipe over and click connect but if it was automatic every time it would make multiple trips in short succession more bearable!

The is by far the best app I've used so far. Android or iPhone both included!

For anyone looking I have a full writeup review here on my website.

The Company got a bad review on there Auto Black Box which rolls video for 10 minutes shot from your iPhone which is mounted on a suction cup holder you can mount on your windshield. If you go to itunes and hit the company web site you can see all there products. Looks like no support.

I have had a great support experience with them. I have the app and they are going to even add a few features that I requested in the next release.

I am not able to get fuel tank fill capacity so they had me email them logs and gave me a few things to try to see if I could get it working.

Their support can be contacted at [email protected].

How does it work? Do you have to plug in a thumb drive into the car socket? Educate me? Also can you give me a screen shot of the iPhone application data? what is here does not seem accurate but I could be wrong.

If you buy one of the obd ii wifi adapters you can connect your iPhone (it works with my iPad too) to the wireless network it creates. With a little set up you can then get the app on your phone to display all sorts of information from the cars ecu. It works very similar to a scan gauge but you can do this all wirelessly on your smart phone.

Here is a quick screen shot of the interface I took yesterday. I created those graphs but there is a lot more that you can view if you want.

Here are a few more screen shots. All of the data shown is available on the fly. It's pretty slick.

The obdii adapter connects to our iPhone?

Please explain because I can't see your set up.

You purchase and install the software from iTunes apple store.

You purchase the adopter? Where? How much?

Is the adopter connected to the phone or the car?

    What else is needed?

You hook the adapter up to the car to the obd2 port under the steering wheel. It creates a wifi "hot spot" connection you can them connect your iPhone to. Once you have the iPhone connected and the app configured correctly (when I get some spare time I'm going to make a step by step guide) it starts working. Nothing needs to be plugged into the phone while you are using it.

I have this adapter. Wifi Obd2 Elm327 Car Code Reader for Iphone Ipod Touch Ipad - Newegg.com

This one will likely work as well. ELM327 OBD2 OBDII WiFi Car Diagnostic Interface Scanner Tool for iPhone PC | eBay

my scanner arrived on saturday. i installed engine link and went into the garage to play with my new toy.

i was disappointed to learn that engine link's dashboard temp and fuel gauges do not work with my C, and most of the numbers on the number screen (screen after dashboard) are incorrect or show zero readings. the only correct numbers "out of the box" are the speedometer and tachometer.

i'm mostly interested in all the thermostat and battery charge readings, but was unable to figure out how to configure engine link. the app author pointed me to this thread, so i guess i have some homework to do since no one's done this together for a C and engine link yet.

If the number shows zero reading, most likely it is because your C doesn't have this standard PID support.
There is a log file under EngineLink's iTunes File Sharing folder, which logs the communication data between ur C and the app. It will appreciated if you could send it to us, we can take a closer look at it.

    Hi novasquid, for your concern:
    1. I looked your log file and Prius C didn't provide the fuel level PID. Here is from the log:
    >012f
    NO DATA

    2. I have send you the Prius C custom PID files as attachment in the first email. You can copy the PID files to enginelink's file sharing folder and they should have all the available sensors for Prius C. I attached the PID files here again.

One is US and another is Metric. Thanks a lot.

i see that there are "US" files in both. but there are obvious differences between the google drive US file and the US file you posted above. below are two entries to show the differences. my question was about these differences. what impact do these differences make, if any?

from the google drive US file:
    2103,FR WS,0,120,mph,A * 32 / 25 * 15625 / 25146,7B0
    2148,RegenReq,0,295,ft·lb,(A * 256 + B) * 0.7375621,7B0

    from your posted US file:
    2103,FR WS,0,200,km/h,A * 32 / 25,7B8
    2148,RegenReq,0,400,Nm,A * 256 + B,7B8

edit: looks like i partially answered my own question. your US file is showing metric settings, so it's a copy of the metric file by mistake. but what i still don't understand is the change in the Header column. the first entry shows 7B0 but your entry shows 7B8.

please double check your files. the one labeled "US" is actually metric.

Thanks for pointing the US vs Metric. I attached the new PID file here. BTW, regarding to your question on Header, you need to reference to the spec document (SAE J1939). Basically, 7E0 or alike is the address used when you send query to ECU; when ECU replies, the address will add 8 and become 7E8. Enginelink can use both query address and reply address but I just prefer reply address in the PID file.

i used the US file from the google drive link, and none of the PIDs worked for me. i then loaded runnerAZ's US file, and i immediately got readings. nice! :)
