Film on inside of front window.

Its offgases from all the plastics in the car. All cars do it to some extent.

 

Following F8L's suggestion I run with the driver's window & right rear window down a bit. Some ventilation should reduce the problem. That film is a PITA. I haven't found an easy way to remove it.

 

and you're breathing it all the time.

 

B&W newsprint, your favorite glass cleaner, and three passes will keep it clean for a long time. Run the defroster and/or a/c to keep the interior air dehumidified.

 

If you park in a place where you can leave the windows down a crack when the car is in the sun, it makes even more difference.

Once you get the greasy film on your windows, Stoner's glass cleaner cuts the film off better than anything else I have tried.

 

If you have a chance, leave your car parked in the sun with the windows cracked open a bit. Let the heat of the Sun boil all the vapors out of the plastics that make up the inside of your car!. All of the above mentioned cleaners cut the film with a little bit of elbow grease! Just noticed you are from Pomona, I think with the Santa Annas this week, it be would be a good week to bake a new car!

 

...this is an FAQ on auto threads and the one answer is: try the top notch glass cleaner, think it's called Invisible Glass, you can get it at Walmart. Really helps, problem is it's really invisible, cannot find my bottle of it.
