    Hello!

I am new to the forum, have a 2008 Gen II that, after 466,000 miles finally blew a head gasket last summer. I left it parked over the winter and just this last week installed a new engine. Everything is running fine; however, this morning i noticed my passenger floor board was full of coolant :( I believe the core must have frozen over the winter and now needs replaced. Has anyone done one of these? I couldn't find much information on the web...

Most of the instrument panel (dashboard) needs to be removed to replace the heater core.

466K miles? You had a good run. Might not be worth the effort.

Well I just put a motor in and have a battery ready to go in, I've maintained it well and it runs like new... don't see that a heater core will be the death of it lol

Well, if you're determined to tackle this, you have a big job ahead of you. Obtain a copy of the service repair manual before you dig in. Good luck.

Its summer so I would just bypass it for now and get it on the road. Just jump it out at the firewall.
