I had my car shipped (probably 8 days without being driven) and it has a flashing P when they try to start it, and the engine doesn't come on. Nothing happens if they try to shift to D but they say they can get it into Neutral and then roll the car.
Does anyone know what the problem may be?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Have them roll it to a Toyota dealer and hope they have insurance.

Update: They forgot to press power to turn the car off so the gas tank was drained to empty. It wouldn't start until 5 gallons of gas were put in the car. Kind of crazy so much gas has to be put in before it will start.

never would have thought of that, i wonder what P means? you have to put enough gas in to kick the gauge, not sure why it takes so much. my '08 only needed 2 gallons on flat ground. glad you're all set!(y)

Many modern fuel pumps need fuel on them to keep them cool.
