My 2015 Plug In Prius has been taken to the dealer for two consecutive days regarding "Check Hybrid System". The dealer tested the vehicle and my charge unit and could not find any errors. This morning My Prius indicated not only a "Check Hybrid System" but a new error "Charge Result: Charge Stopped Due to System Malfunction". Has anyone experience this particular issue?

Lately it is a common failure in the 2014/15 PiP with the Toyota provided EVSE. Seems the they have a defective batch of this type of 120 VAC chargers

I get that when I unplug the charger before it has completed its cycle.

Three hours charging time should be max. Something else is interrupting the charge cycle. Is the power supply reliable?

Greg, thanks for the update. The power supply is very reliable.

    I'd still check for hot-spots.

Curly, take your car to the dealer. Have them replace the charger. I've been there, done that. I'm thinking a recall is in order.

agreed. at the very least, a tsb and don't sell any until they have been tested.
