Went to the annual check/test that is required in here. Tester teaches me something i did not know:
When in READY and Parking - pressing the gas pedal will force ICE to run. Cannot change revs though, it is constant (~2000 RPM? not sure).
This is true to regular and plug-in Prius, for PiP it does not matter if there are EV miles left or not.
If this was discussed already - sorry to bother.
If you have discovered other 'hidden' facts - please share.

With a reg Prius, in Ready but with engine stopped(car warmed up, stopped for a red light for example): you can get the engine to turn on, then off, by raising/lowering the ventilation system's target temperature. The threshold's around 21C IIRC, what's that: 68~70F?

Yes, I also discovered this: after heavy sporting I tried to start driving without putting it in D first.

It has been discussed in the past. But apology declined because it remains very poorly known, so the refresher is worthwhile.

Does anyone know if the engine will turn off earlier than usual if you drop it into reverse? I know the first and/or second gen Prius did that.
