Could some one with a Gen 3 non plugin measure and tell me how deep the holes are from the rear areo tray to the bolt in spots?

I am trying to see if there is a reason some hitches work on all and others say no PIPs.

    Thanks.

The "holes" go into the rails, NOT the tray.

A M12x1.25 J.I.S. nut is welded onto the inside of the rail. You would have to drill through the sheet metal of the floor pan in the rear area to access the nuts.

The "holes" are currently occupied by bolts that hold the rear tie down brackets.

The part number of the current bolts are 90119-12336. They are 25mm long. They have 19mm hex heads, instead of the standard 17mm J.I.S., though.

Most trailer hitches provide bolts that are 35mm long to accommodate the added 1/2 inch or 12.7 mm added thickness of the trailer hitch. Any bolt up to 50mm in length would be safe.
