Hose clamp pliers that work

I have read on here where some have had a bit of difficulty in removing the 3 fingered spring clamps that Toyota likes to use.
Below is a pic of pliers that I modded back in the 70s. I brazed 2 of 3/4" squarish pieces of metal to pliers, offset at 45 degree angle. (I brazed them, as this was before mig welders.) It has served me well.
In fact, the pliers were originally from a factory tool kit for an FJ40 Land Cruiser.
