Tell us the total dollar amount for how much you've spent on everything for your Prius, EXCEPT the cost of the Prius itself. You can add up:

    Warranties
    Maintenance
    Repairs
    Modifications
    Any other add-ons.

I know this could be a lot to remember, but I think it's a great exercise. Please do not include gas (we all know Prius is the best).

    Thanks!!

erm other than buying the car and fuel I have spent nothing in the last 8000 miles.

Well, maybe £250 $400 getting my taxi meter and computer/radio installed but otherwise that's it :)

    Love the car.

The VentureShield film cost $950. I should have 3 free oil changes & expect the warranty to cover anything that may occur in the near future.

This would be for a 2005 with 141,000 miles on it now and 51 mo's worth of driving. I have a spreadsheet with every cent spent on it.

I'm resurrecting this thread. Turns out to date I've spent over $750 on modifications alone. That's a tough pill to swallow. Here's the new count:

    $230 - Window tints
    $370 - Lowering Springs + install
$70 - LEDs and light bulbs
    $80 - shark fin antenna
    $180 - new tire
$150 - Lifetime alignment from Firestone
$40 - one tire rotation from Toyota (before I discover I got free ones from Firestone - DOH!)
FREE - all oil changes so far (I use coupons!)

$1120 at only 27k miles. Thoughts? Wanna share yours?

    Any other add-ons. - None

For a grand total of about $5250 or 2.8 cents per mile.
    For comparison:

    • Gas - 5.7 cents per mile (about half of my other car)
