Any ideas on who has the least expensive key replacement? The plastic on the buttons is breaking apart on my 2008 key and the dealer cost is over $200 - yikes!!!

    Any ideas??

    Thanks

One thing you could do is to purchase a keyfob off eBay for about $50. Then take both keyfobs apart, and transfer the circuit board & transponder from your old one to the eBay one.

You can get a used key on ebay for $50 and program it yourself... Or a brand new one that's easier to program in the low $100 range... There's loads of threads on here about it... It takes time to figure out all the details of how to do it. If you want to spend a few hours reading and learning start searching priuschat via Google and you'll be good to go. But if you get paid well for your time and you're busy then maybe just give the dealer your money.
