I followed the above instruction and was never able to get into the Service Menu. I have successfully used the Hack that gets you to the diagnostic menu but not this highly desired one to override the motion lockout. I have a 2006 prius, is there a different hack for it???

I believe it was earlier noted that you cannot do it in the 2006+ models.

Is there a hack to display the interior temperature? The auto AC setting needs to know. I'd like to be able to see it on the MFD. Any help would be appreciated.

Anybody know how to get the Nav. unlock to work on an 2008 Prius. The one's listed seem to work on the previous version Nav's, not the upgraded 2008 version.

    Webmaster, please.....

Webmaster: How about making a folder file on the tool bar for holding a file for Hacks, and TSBs? That way there is no need to ask or search?

No hacks found for my new 2008 Prius with nav ver 7.1. Do NOT buy the CoastalETech Basic Lockpick 3 for this purpose. IT WILL NOT WORK.:(

    I have a new 2008 my self.
The only things I have found to work as a easter-egg/soft hack are the following:
    1) Disable/Enable reverse Beep
    2) Diag Menu (while car is on, hold the INFO button and turn light on and off three times)

Hold the info button and turn your headlights on and off three times...

When I did it my lights began in the on position and my fog lights were on the whole time.

It's a shame all the replys still talk about old hacks, the newer models don't work on these hacks and the European models even less (only the seatbelt beep can be turned off.
One thing I that I found out I still don't see anywhere on the forums which I find kinda strange.
Ok there is a menu by tapping the screen and you can see some stuff, reset failures and change the bluetooth volumne and so on, but there is a SECOND MENU!!
When you are in the first menu tap the upper left corner and then te lower right corner and you get the second menu. Be aware though because in here you can ruin your navigation I think because there is all kind of adjustment here, up to changing firmware, I don't know what to do with it but I hope someone else will. Maybe someone will finally find something to end the anoyings.

I have a 2008 prius tech, but all the info over override or secret menus doesn't work, with the several descriptions found on the internet. See different web sites:
If you search "prius navigation hacks" with google you get a lot of hits, but I can not find one which is suitable for a 2008 prius tech European models.

Which menu do you mean, depend om what you select. For every one is the first menu different.

Does this sequence apply to the 08 models??? I am really frustrated with this nav system. Why if it can detect someone or something in the Pax seat then why cant it let your Pax program the Nav while driving?? Eric

Doesn't work because Toyota found the need to handicap many of the more sophisticated things that require coordination, such as navigation during vehicle operation. Had this been a lexus, it would have the same system and be capable of inputting during driving. However, when it comes to making our lives simple, that's where they don't want to help the Toyota driver. You have to purchase a lexus for it to park itself automatically. (In the U.S.) Outside of the U.S. the prius is capable of parking itself. Maybe they want us all to get the rx hybrid or something. /shrug.

This does not work on 2006 Prius. I looked at the service menu, and it does not have a "override" button for the GPS to use while in motion.

Am I mistaken that the only "hacks" here for Classics is the key/fob programming? I just bought a Brilliant Blue Pearl '03 (only 12k miles!) over the weekend. Overall very pleased.

    Brad says
I know for a fact that Lexus has the same issue with their navigation. My Father's LS430 2006 does not allow any navigation input while driving. So it is not a Toyota thing versus a Lexus thing. Also the 2010 Prius will have as an option Automatic Parallel Parking. So just like the big boys at Lexus you too can have a self parking Toyota Pruis.
