    yeah, it's just screwed in with numerous screws (do not know how many.... too lazy to count..) but yeah.. totally removeable/replaceable..

    though i'm slightly afraid to find out how much that part costs.. it's probably not cheap... but yea.. scraping or not.. it'll be awhile for it to really wear down.. aesthetically, it might not look appealing after a long time.. but it'll still function.
