Where do we write to Toyota with streets and business information that is not on the current 6.1 CD release for the next update. Some one give me an email or phone number where I can write Toyota with this information regarding businesses and map updates..

I believe you report information directly to the map suplier NAVTEQ

So is Navteq the one that puts out the dvds? How long does it take to hear from there.. I have several map requests but have not heard from them yet... Are you sure this is who you write to for updates to the toyota dvd?

I'm not sure what you expect to hear. Navteq is the primary provider of the map/poi database that is used by Toyota (and other nav system producers). I expect that Navteq gets many thousands of customer corrections that they try to evaluate and perhaps incorporate when they generate an updated database. That corrected data might make it into the next Toyota DVD update which usually happens about once a year. 6.1 is the current version of Toyota's DVD. When the new version comes out, it will cost in the neighborhood of $250. You will need to live with your current version for a while longer.

These folks have the lowest prices I've seen for DVD updates?
    http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ind...p;siteid=214314

Search for Toyota part number 00125-DVD04-CY
(This is for the 2004 Prius Nav; search for your own year.)
They only charge $187.50 instead of the $250 list price.
I haven't checked with them to make sure the update is the latest 6.1 data.

I bought an engine air filter (17801-21040) from them for $12.50,
and Cabin Air Filter (87139-47010-83) for $15.

$250 for a DVD? Yet another reason I'm glad I chose to go with an aftermarket GPS unit. Hell, my TomTom was only about $100 more and I can take it from vehicle to vehicle.

Once the details you want are available on Google Maps, wait another two years and the Toyota DVD may show them.

Best test I've found so far...

00125-DVD04-CY is version 4.1 for the 'generation 3' nav system used in the Prius Classic (MY 2001-03). The "04" indicates the year the disc was released, not the model year car it's intended for. Toyota may have changed the part number for the current update, I can't find 00125-DVD06-CY.
