32GB is finally where I want/need the iPhone to be and the new features sound pretty nice. But I wish they'd just include a dang expansion slot.

The new OS comes out on the 17th. The new phone on the 19th. The phone can be preordered now. You may remember they ran into a few problems last summer when both a new iphone OS and a new iphone came out on the same day.

My wife reluctantly conceded to allow me to order a 3Gs. I ordered a black 32GB. It's been 4 years since I last programmed the BT in my Prius II, gotta dig out the book.

Being a developer, I installed the iPhone 3.0 "Gold Master" seed yesterday, AND I picked up my 2010 on the same day - wow - what a day!

I'm actually a little let down though - The bluetooth streaming works and it actually doesn't sound bad at all! However, the steering wheel controls don't work like they do with a Dice or a Vais unit (I have the Dice in my 2006). The only transport control that you get is a little Play/Pause button on the nav screen.

Still, it's a nice feature. I'll definitely be purchasing the iPod/USB connection kit as soon as I can. But I very well might just keep a 64Gb Usb Stick stuck in it all the time ;)

    A statue for a phone.

    Sounds like a win-win.

Can't wait for the 3.0 for my possible future PIII. But I'll have to wait another year to get the 3GS, since I'm not eligible for the cheaper upgrade!

Now if we can just find a hack/upgrade/Toyota-option so that we can recharge our iPhones using the Prius solar panel while driving, it would be great! :)

(maybe someone can forward this idea to Toyota. In fact, regardless of iPhone or not, Toyota could make it so that Prius users can recharge any cell phone from the solar panel while driving. this would be great for marketing)
