Does anyone know what apps and tools are available for the GEN I Prius? I have an 03 and would LOVE to have an Android app that can monitor some functions on the Prius if one exists.

Even if an Android app does not exist I still need a scan tool that can not just read but also communicate with the Prius so I can do things like bleed brake lines and inverter coolant lines.

The best tool for diagnostics is Toyota Techstream (dealer software). Software can be "found" online if you are creative, but you'll need a $500 Mongoose MFC cable (or Chinese clone) in order to use it. There are a bunch of Scangauge Xgauges defined for the Gen1 Prius, not quite Android user interface, but gives you insight into various Hybrid parameters.

I'm looking on amazon, and finding about a hundred or so OBD gauges. Can anyone recommend one that will not cost an arm and a leg, and will just read a code, so that I can figure out if it's something minor or major? are there any that let me reset it if it's minor? I have a code on my 2001 Prius that will keep coming on periodically that I'll need to reset. I already saw the threads about taking it to a local auto parts store, and I'm going to try to find one that will read codes for me, but haven't had any luck so far with that.

I like the USB or ones, or ones that can connect to my Android phone, if that narrows it down some.
