My mum and dad were big fans of more Spark, that's why they had 8 kids.

It is sad that I have nothing better to do than respond to a thread about something so preposterous. This type of advertising brings to mind an old saying, "A fool and his money are soon parted."

In the meantime, you can rest assured that this chip will not alter your shift points. Shift points in a Prius?? Perhaps forward and reverse?

Damn, I wouldn't mind altering the "shift points" on my Prius

I would like to think the average Prius driver is bright enough to have figured out this ad was crap

As far as ebay in general, since when isn't most of it pure bulls***?

How can you change the shift points on a transmission with no gears?

Is this a trick question? ;):D
Osmosis is in water purification and is a real mechanism:D

    [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osmosis]Osmosis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

the chip in that space would be holistic for sure:D

OK I clicked on the link and all I got from my browser was this message. . . "safariadblock:block" so I went to eBay and did a search for "performance chip prius" and there is literally a butt load of them. Please no Gay Prius jokes . . . well ok one or two won't hurt I guess. Anyway I could easily spot the fakes from the real ones cause mine said "The ONLY REAL Performance Chip!" if it's the "only real performance chip" that means all the others are fake right? So I ordered it and any day now I'll be getting 200 hp and 75 mpg. Plus as an option at no extra cost I get . . .

Tire Turning Torque and Stronger (Wicked) Towing Capacity. Can't wait to hook the 34 foot "ToyHauler" up and save a bunch of money on gas this holiday! :)

If you're interested in "The ONLY REAL Performance Chip!" here's the link to eBay. . . eBay Motors: REAL PERFORMANCE CHIP TOYOTA PRIUS 2001-2009 GAS SAVER (item 220369749744 end time Mar-29-09 13:22:17 PDT)

p.s. Can't wait to my next paycheck I'm going to get me two of these babies woohoo what a hoot! 400hp and 150 mpg!

    Nice find, Wildkow!

They seem very serious, their products are Patent Pending under Trademark Revision and Copyright. Looks like they have all the bases covered.

The shift points it refers to are obviously the shift from "Impulse" to "Warp" and as the Prius never gets above Impulse it won't do any good.

That is my scientific analysis of the situation.

This means that we will have to add structural integrity fields, 2 warp nacelles, and a main deflector emitter, that at least that should fit into the smile pod in the hood!
Hang on Doc Willie were coming!!

old thread but I was filtering through all the BS in this one to see if anyone actually used one. I've used performance "chips" in other cars. Mostly V8 trying to get more mpg (computer controlled lean/fuel also). Usually saw 4mpg increase after a week (don't know why it takes a week). Same way to work, same time, same bat channel.

Did a "chip" on the prius early this month for grins (because I could return it). Increase from 50 to 58mpg average this tank. Same way to work, same time, same bat channel. Don't know about the hp increase. The claims of 80+mpg are outlandish. Most of the "chips" are just a resistor that fakes out the air intake and thus the computer to run leaner. After another tank I will take it out just to verify it goes back down.
On my V8 still passed CA smog.

Whos to say toyota just didn't want it this way? (like the other mods that we all add).
Easy to install/take out. Good tech support. The general web site is just a front. They sent me specific photos/wiring and what to do for my little P.
Just like CoastalTech did with their mod........

Lets not bash unless we actually know.
