this weekend. Love it!!! Traded in my 2007 pack 3.
So, one big question...car had 5 miles on the odometer and I am only getting around 38 mpg. Only have it up to 85 miles, but is that normal for the break in period? In the same type of driving in my 2007 I would have been averaging around 45 MPG.
Love the 2011...love the electronics around the nav package with the Bluetooth hook up.
Another question, I have my iPhone4 synced to my bluetooth for phone operations and it is great, but I cannot get the iPhone to synch with the BT for audio operations. Any thoughts?
But the USB hook up to my iPhone works great and it completely controls the iPod functions of the phone.
    All in all...VERY HAPPY!!

Welcome to the GIII. I got my best tank ever during the first 1,000 miles (54.2). I don't think break-in has much to do with that anymore.

I wouldn't worry to much on the first tank, it could have been sitting idling while the dealer prepped it or maybe it wasn't reset. Also it seems very sporadic for the first few miles after a fill-up, it should settle down as you put more miles on it. My gauge is showing 57.7 mpg this tankful, and I have 2 bars left on the gas gauge. It should also improve as it breaks in...

    Welcome and congratulations.

Try resetting the Trip B and see what this shows after a few more miles. It is probably as Paul58 says and just has low mileage from the dealership.

I would wait until you have a few tankfuls under your belt before worrying about mpg. Just drive and enjoy for now.

So, quick update, averaged 49.5 mpg on my 24 mile commute into work today. My 2007 would have averaged around 43.
    Love it!!

38MPG might be normal if your average speed is 65+mph.

Congrats on your new Prius. MPGs will come around once you focus on driving for mpg.

    Congrats! Post some pics!
A lot of us here haven't seen the black with bisque leather since it's new on the 2011's.

I actually am a lead foot. Most of my interstate travel will be 70mph plus that magic 9mph for radar exclusion. :nono:

My 07 never averaged less than 41 even with the pedal to the metal, but today's commute was a bit tamer with some stop and go traffic mixed in with stopped...and then 65ish at times...this is Atlanta after all.:)
