It will detect when a rear collision is imminent and will move the front headrests closer to the driver and front passenger to minimise whiplash injury. In addition, for frontal collision avoidance, it will stiffen up the front suspension and quicken the steering ratio to help the driver avoid the obstacle. It also has a camera facing the driver to determine if the driver is paying attention when the computer detects an obstacle ahead and will warn the driver of the obstacle.

Would the stages of operation be better covered in a separate thread dictating their implications and their differences than in a glossary?

List them with simple definitions, but links to the full description.
There are several other things I think providing links would be good for..B-mode maybe like to Hobbit's document, stuff like that so people could explore more advanced descriptions without cluttering up the simple glossary aspect that you've created.

I was wondering if this sticky could also go into the 2010 Forum - this is my first Prius and so I went to the 2010 forums and was immediately lost in the acronym forest. Finally found this sticky, but in a forum I'd not otherwise have looked.

    Thanks from a real newbie!
