    huh?
    You're getting emails from PriusChat?

If you are, we would really like to know about it. Can you please provide a little more information as to the origin and contents of these emails?

    Thanks,
    The Mod Team
(okay, just me but I'm sure the others are interested also)

Hey, lowspeed. I'm not getting anything unusual at the moment - not to say you aren't. You didn't click on any of those nasty pictures here this morning, did you?

I've checked the PriusChat email logs and no emails have been sent to the membername "lowspeed" nor to the email you have on record.

Any mail client that doesn't provide a way to see the full headers
isn't worth using and is just a liability.
    .
Okay, I guess it's a false alarm and lowspeed has a large rebuild
job ahead of him. Phew, the topic title had me goin' for a minute.
You know what? Ever since the last time the site got knocked over,
I always check sans login-cookies that it's the real thing and not
some tag from K4pt41|\| KraX0r at which point my creds can be assumed
stolen, and only then do I log in for real. And of course the bright
ones will hack the site in a way that just swipes everyone's creds
and doesn't actually make changes, so that's no guarantee either.
But if the admins are confident that they're ahead of the numerous
PHP bugs that are floating around, we're probably okay. Until the
    next one comes along, anyways.
    .
But please don't start blaming an external site for mail *you're*
getting, especially if you can't analyze it a little first.

Sounds like it's only hitting you, LS, which is even stranger than it happening at all...

Sounds like you're getting an RSS feed via email.

Ok, I see what it is. You have subscribed at some point to receive topic creation notifications for the Main Forum. Since a Spam/Porn thread was started in there, an email was sent to you, but by the time you (I'm assuming) clicked on it, the thread had been moved to the Staff Forum Trash Can where we put all of the Porn threads so that Tony has something to read on his off time at work.

So, no hacking. Spam posting, yes, but not a hack.

You might have done that inadvertently when you first registered. Check your User CP (click "My Controls" at the top of the screen) and look at the Menu on the left. Pay particular attention to "Subscriptions" and also "Email Settings" (under Options).

    Busted!!
    B)

The inadvertent subscription was the angle I took as well via PM. I was going to test my hypothesis by checking my own settings and seeing if I get the same emails but I don't want a swarm of emails. :)
