Recall

I took my "v" in for it's 5000 mile check today. While there, I had them check to see if my car was included in the cooling system recall. The Toyota website did not give any information but, documentation received by the dealer within the last couple of days said it was. They checked on parts availability and as luck would have it, the parts came in earlier today. They did the recall. It took about 2 hours and required some disassembly but, it is done.

Mine as well, dropped it off at about 9am and awaiting the call that it's done...

Car's back, all done!

The recall was completed on my v at 10 grand inspection as well; funny thing, though - the service tech could not describe to me just what it was they were recalling or why. Nice. He had to google it!
Gotta find a new dealer; good thing I get good mileage as the next dealer is 60 miles away.

This is the part that they replaced on my v. It is about a foot long!

Yep, and they took down the exhaust from the manifold to the muffler connector pipe to replace it.

At least they provided you with the replaced part - my Honda dealer used to do that back in the 80's. For all I know, they put my car on the lift and threw holy water at it!
