Red Triangle check engine (PA080 Over Temperature)?

    Hi Guys,

    I need help with this DCode PA080 (Over Temperature). The check engine with red triangle just come on a few days ago and I would like to know if anyone has ever gotten this code? Please help...

    i think that's the hybrid battery, did you get triangle of death? you might want to check your inverter pump, 12 volt and battery cooling fan.

    Yeah the Red Triangle showed up, and also I had the inverter pump replaced 2 years ago (recall)...

    Yes, that code is the "Replace Hybrid Battery" code. Is the fan in the back running all the time (or nearly)? Does the battery go from fully charged to almost no charge and back to full in about thirty seconds?

    The fan comes on here and there, but not constantly. The battery reading goes from nearly full to 1 bar in about a minute or 2...

    I do have 2 extra cells layer around that still good. How would you recommend rebuilding the HV pack?

    it's a time consuming job, and takes some technical expertise. or, you can buy a new one, a rebuilt one or a junkyard dog. all the best!(y)
